Join Us for the Stand Against Racism
The Stand Against Racism is a national initiative of the YWCA USA. Locally, the YWCA Bucks County joins over 750 sites nationwide to advocate and lead activities that deliver a clear message that we are on a mission to eliminate racism. This year we are having a panel discussion and stakeholders meeting that will kick off our event. We will be asking our panel to respond to several questions pertaining to what we can do as a community to ensure a practice of inclusion and diversity. In addition to the panel discussion, participants read and sign the Stand Against Racism pledge and commit to do their part to eliminate racism in their community as a call to action. The event is an amazing opportunity that allows our community to demonstrate our commitment to diversity, equality, safety and inclusion.
YWCA Bucks County to Continue Working for Change
In this time of change and transition, YWCA Bucks County remains resolute and focused on our mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We will continue to prioritize full equality and opportunity for all Bucks County women, girls and families. We have worked for change since 1954 and we call upon all to join us as we persist in this effort in 2017 and beyond.
Did you know that the YWCA Bucks County is proud to be a part of the YWCA USA, an international movement serving over 2 million in the United States and 25 million worldwide? YWCA USA is already preparing to work with the next White House administration and Congress on the issues that matter most to the 2.3 million women and families served each year.
We look forward to working alongside 220 YWCAs in 47 states and the District of Columbia to continue doing what we have done for 60+ years – fighting to eliminate racism, empower women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
