Housing Services

  • Homelessness Prevention

The Bucks County Homelessness Prevention Program is designed to provide financial assistance and case management services to households who are currently housed but are at imminent risk of becoming homeless. The current prevention program YWCA utilizes is Bucks County Emergency Rental Assistance (BERA). BERA is a temporary rental assistance program to prevent individuals from becoming literally homeless. For households who have exhausted their funds through BERA, please call Bucks County Housing Link for additional resources at 1-800-810-4434.

  • Housing and Supportive Services for Victims of Human Trafficking

YWCA Bucks County, in partnership with the Bucks County Housing Department, A Woman’s Place, Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA), and Worthwhile Wear will address the complex needs of human trafficking victims through a comprehensive system which focuses on housing and specialized services. Our goal is to expand capacity in Bucks County to serve victims of human trafficking, strengthen connections to housing and victim-centered services, educate and train the community about human trafficking, and reduce barriers that prevent victims from being permanently housed, self-sufficient and stable.

  • Rapid Rehousing (RRH)

RRH assists individuals and families quickly exist homelessness and return to permanent housing within Bucks County. This transitional housing program provides women and children with short-term rental assistance, intensive case management and a full network of support services.

  • Haven House

Haven House is a temporary safe house for women and children fleeing human trafficking. To bridge the gap between crisis housing and Rapid Rehousing, the YWCA Haven House provides victims of human trafficking a safe place to reside and receive supportive services until they are placed in their own apartment through RRH. During their stay in the temporary shelter, participants will continue to receive crisis advocacy, trauma informed counseling and other supportive services.

  • SAIL Program

The SAIL (Shared Affordable Independent Living) program introduces a way to pair Category 1 Homeless single adults with each other to live together. This will offer an opportunity to exit homelessness quicker, pay a more affordable rent, and build a sense of community. Additionally, participants will receive ongoing case management through the YWCA or their Rapid Rehousing Case Managers. Eligible adults can be referred from their shelter, rapid rehousing, or street outreach case worker.
