Summer Camp Registration is OPEN!

For specific information please contact Cherrelle Cannon at ccannon@ywcabucks.org

1. What are the dates for camp?

Camp is June 24th-August 2nd.

2. How do I register?

At the top of this Summer Camp page are the locations. Click on the location you'd prefer and it will take you to their registration page. If you have a log-in account already from previous summer camp years, just log in and reregister your child(ren).

3. How old does my child need to be to join camp?

The child should be going into 1st grade and then going into 7th grade (this is as of September 2024).

4. How much is camp?

There is a $35 registration fee for the family (per family, not child) and it is based on income. You can contact Cherrelle Cannon at ccannon@ywcabucks.org to send your paystub/W2 to determine your cost. It can be as little as $300 for the 6 weeks of camp. There are also scholarships available for those who need assistance. Cherrelle can answer those specific questions.

5. How do I go about paying for camp?

You can log in to your Active account and pay through there using a credit card. If you have more than one child who will be attending, contact Cherrelle Cannon at ccannon@ywcabucks.org to obtain the coupon code if you have more than one child.

6. Do I have to pay my total before camp starts?

Yes, parents need to pay before camp starts. If someone needs assistance, such as a payment plan, they can reach out to Cherrelle Cannon cccannon@ywcabucks.org about this.

7. Do the kids go on trips at camp?

The kids will go on 3 trips this summer. It will be every other week at camp and trips are included in the cost of camp.

8. Do they need to bring a lunch?

The kids are provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks at the camp so they do not need to pack any food. The food is pork and beef-free. Also, there are no nuts in any of the food. If someone cannot have dairy, water can be given instead.

9. Where are your locations at?

All our location details can be found on the flyer and the links at the top of this Summer Camp page.

10. How many kids are in each camp?

Camps can range between 25-65 kids, depending on the site.

11. Is camp every day?

Camp can vary based on location. Some locations are Monday-Friday while others are Monday-Thursday. Every camp is 9am-3pm. Please look at each location's details for this information.

12. Can my child go for only one or two weeks or do they have to go all the time?

Camp is a 6-week program and is not intended for participants to pick certain weeks and only attend those. We break it down weekly to show parents/guardians cost but it is a Summer Camp program that is based on paying for their spot at camp, not choosing based on week-by-week attendance.

13. Who can pick up my child?

The children need to be signed in and out by an adult 18 or older and any individual that is on the registration form you fill out when you initially sign your child up for camp can pick up your child.

14. Is transportation provided to and from camp?

No, we do not provide transportation to camp from participants' houses. The only transportation we offer is to and from the weekly trips during camp hours.

15. Can staff administer medicine or any other medical treatments?

Although staff are certified in CPR and first aid, they are not allowed to administer any type of medicine or medical treatment that would normally need to be done by a medical professional.

16. How will I know what my child will be doing at camp every week?

Staff will provide parents/guardians with information (such as flyers, newsletters, updates, etc.) they feel parents want to know. This will be done in paper and/or email.

17. Is there anyone who can help register if someone prefers or needs help in a different language?

Yes, we have a few staff who speak different languages. Contact Amparo Mills amills@ywcabucks.org for help in Spanish, Lidia Kolodub lkolodub@ywcabucks.org for help in Russian and Ukraine, and then contact Rowayda Jaaf if you need help in middle-eastern languages rjaaf@ywcabucks.org
